Armadillidium - Gestroi

These isopods hail from France and boast a bright black sheen with yellow triangles going down their back. They get quite big as adults for Armadillidiums and are not as prolific as other species. This isopod is best kept as a pet but can be used in semi-arid or temperate bio-active setups as a clean-up crew. This species enjoys a typical moisture gradient and ventilation level. Like most isos, they enjoy an ample supply of leaf litter, hides, and protein/calcium.
